Youth Academy
Blackburn Rovers has one of the country's
finest youth academy for grooming younger generation into potential
future stars. The £4.75 million facility was built for the cream
of Rovers' youth talent in 2001 and includes five full-sized pitches,
indoor training facilities, a swimming pool and accommodation
for 36 players.
The state-of-the-art academy has modern facilities and extensive
programs for youth players. Players trained in the Brockhall Village
academy include Damien Duff, and David Dunn. With the recent emergence
of David Hoilett and Phil Jones, there are signs that Brockhall
is bearing fruit. |
